Teaching is an honourable and most valued profession that significantly impacts the lives of children, and teachers are the cornerstone of the education system. At Firststeps, we address our teachers as the facilitators, who play a crucial role in providing the appropriate environment and stimuli to empower every child to tap into their innate ability.

Each team member strongly believes they are lifelong learners and must continuously evolve by imbibing the new educational practices by availing every opportunity for growth through professional development sessions and workshops. Our facilitators believe that specific skills, including flexibility, patience, empathy and kindness, will always support them to bond with their students, allowing them to have their voice, choice and ownership of their learning.

We have adopted collaboration strategies at each level – with students, senior leadership and the parent community giving the team a broader perspective to achieve our strategic goals. Our facilitators strive to build culturally tolerant, socially responsible, environmentally conscious, morally astute and ethically upright global citizens.
